वंदे मातरम, वंदे मातरम )Those unforgotten days of my childhood will never come back but the memoirs still persisit deep in my soul . I always loved music and watching films .Being a teenager I was not allowed to watch a movie in cinema halls however I along with my friends used to watch some movies which were shown in the colony and usually the screen was the wall of government quarters' building . It was a stunning experience to see the projector and the moving film . One of the earliest song ' Aao bacchon tumhe dikhayen jhanki hindustan ki ' from the black & white Hindi film ' Jagriti ' still rings in my heart . This film was made in the year 1954 . This song has a very beautiful rhythm and melody . It is a patriotic song written and sung by kavi Pradeep , who was called as Rashtkavi ( National Poet ) and was awarded Dada Saheb Phalke Award in 1997. This song is filmed in a moving train . The steam engine of the train , the changing railway tracks and the open windows of the compartment syncronize well with the music beats made by the renowned music director Hemant Kumar. The role of the teacher is played by Abhi Bhattacharya . The teacher has organised an educational tour of India for the students . The whole song is chreographed in a moving train where the teacher is singing the song along with students . The immortal slogan of Indian independence ' Vande Matam ' is being repeated many times by the teenager students . Undoubtedly this song and it's music has motivated millions of Indian children and youth , especially the teenagers . The song depicts the courage of great Indian freedom fighters like Maharana Partap , Great Shivaji , Netaji Subhash Chand Bose etc.The song has also unfolded the darkest tragedy of Jalianwala Bagh massacare and the sacrifice of innocent men , women and children . This unforgettable song still stirs our soul and the its melodious music triggers our patriotic emotions . The lyrics and the voice of Pradeep Kumar has made this song as timeless gem . May be it is coincidence that I am listening this song again in month of August . Yes , the song's views start multiplying in the month of August as the Day of Indian independence approaches near . The rhythm and melody of this song remembers me the sound of the thousands of soldiers feet parading on Rajpath on Indian Rebublic Day.

देखो, मुल्क मराठों का ये यहाँ शिवाजी डोला था
मुगलों की ताक़त को जिसने तलवारों पे तोला था
हर पर्वत पे आग जली थी हर पत्थर एक शोला था
बोली हर-हर महादेव की बच्चा-बच्चा बोला था
शेर शिवाजी ने रखी थी लाज हमारी शान की
इस मिट्टी से तिलक करो ये धरती है बलिदान की

जलियाँवाला बाग़ ये देखो, यहीं चली थी गोलियाँ
ये मत पूछो किसने खेली यहाँ ख़ून की होलियाँ
एक तरफ़ बंदूक़ें दन-दन एक तरफ़ थी टोलियाँ
मरनेवाले बोल रहे थे इंक़लाब की बोलियाँ
यहाँ लगा दी बहनों ने भी बाज़ी अपनी जान की
इस मिट्टी से तिलक करो ये धरती है बलिदान की
वंदे मातरम्! वंदे मातरम्!
ये देखो बंगाल यहाँ का हर चप्पा हरियाला है
यहाँ का बच्चा-बच्चा अपने देश पे मरनेवाला है
ढाला है इसको बिजली ने भूचालों ने पाला है
मुट्ठी में तूफ़ान बँधा है और प्राण में ज्वाला है
जन्मभूमि है यही हमारे वीर सुभाष महान की
इस मिट्टी से तिलक करो ये धरती है बलिदान की
