1 - ά , έ , ί , ή , ό , ώ 

2 - αί , εί , οί ,ού , αύ ( Always on 2nd vowel in case of Double vowel )

3 On one of the last three syallables of a word 

   ( κα - τη - γο - ρώ )

4  Never on single sylabble words - 

   ( ναι  , μη  , να , τον , γεια )

Exceptions -  ή , πού 

5 Not on All capital letters 

   ( ΑΠΑΓΟΡΕΥΕΤΑΙ )

6  When the 1st vowel is Capital and stressed

     Άννα 

Η Άννα  ή η Μαρία - Anna or Maria 

Πατάτα - Potato 

Πορτοκάλι - Orange fruit

Πορτοκαλί - Orange colour 

Παύση - Pause 

ρεύμα - current / electricity 

αίμα - Blood 

που - That / who / which 

πού - where 

πως - That 

πώς - How 

ναι ή όχι - Yes or No 

ι , ε , ει , οι + vowel = pronounced together e.g . 

Υεια - Hi  / Hello 

Πιο - Anymore

μία - one         μια - a 

δύο   /  δυο   - Two
